Every month, Plaza Live Orlando brings a myriad of events to “The City Beautiful” to keep visitors and locals alike entertained and broaden their horizons with new, exciting acts and artists. Here’s who’s taking the stage this August and September 2024 at Plaza Live Orlando.

Christopher Cross – Sunday, August 4, 2024, 8 p.m.

He took the 80s by storm and led the contemporary music scene to trails never-before tread. We’re talking about Grammy Award-winner Christopher Cross, who’s bringing his talents to the stage at Plaza Live Orlando this August.

Cross debuted in 1980 with his self-titled album and brought hits like “Ride Like the Wind” and “Sailing” that brought him to the top of the charts. He set the record for winning five Grammy Awards, including the “Big Four”: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist.

In addition to his stellar number of Grammy Awards, he has also earned an Oscar, a Golden Globe, an Emmy nomination, and five Top 10 singles. Cross has made his mark over the course of his musical career, and you’ll get to see the fruits of his labor live on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Doors open at 7 p.m. at Plaza Live. Tickets for Christopher Cross can be purchased online.

Old Gods of Appalachia – Friday, August 9, 2024, 8 p.m.

Eerie tales of Appalachia have escaped the confines of podcast radio and made their way to center stage at Plaza Live Orlando this August. Old Gods of Appalachia bring alternate tellings of the darkest mountains in the world — ones that were never meant to be inhabited.

Podcast creators Steve Shell and Cam Collins hail from Wise County, Virginia, and have an affinity for all things occult and supernatural. With their shared love of eerie Appalachian folklore, Shell and Collins bring the thrilling Old Gods of Appalachia podcast to the city of Orlando on Friday, August 9, 2024. Doors at Plaza Live open at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased online.

49 Winchester with Matt Koziol – Thursday, September 19, 2024, 8 p.m.

Tune in to country music with an alternative twist this September as 49 Winchester is taking over Plaza Live Orlando with special guest Matt Koziol. From a rag-tag band of Castlewood, Virginia, teenagers to a successful alt-country group that has performed with big names like Luke Combs, 49 Winchester has been on a rapid rise to success.

49 Winchester has released five studio albums over the last 10 years, with Leavin’ This Holler being its latest. The band attributes its success and longevity to viewing the band as a family affair and members as lifelong friends instead of business associates.

Leavin’ This Holler brings a mature approach to 49 Winchester’s usual sound of raucous country and searing rock music, which you can hear for yourself at Plaza Live on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Doors open at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets to this event online.

Juan Fernando Velasco – Friday, September 27, 2024, 8 p.m.

Pop music is bred from all around the world, and Juan Fernando Velasco poses as an outstanding figure in the Ecuadorian pop music scene. Having shaped the musical landscape of Ecuador since his debut in 1999, Velasco is known for hits such as “Déjame” and “Chao Lola,” which have made themselves home high on the charts.

Juan Fernando Velasco has collaborated with several other Latin music artists, including Franco de Vita, Fonseca, Andrés Cepeda, and many more. Hear his latest single “Mi Amigo el Dolor” live on Friday, September 27, 2024. Doors at Plaza Live Orlando open at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets online.
